Top of the bill time brought us a young lady from Birmingham who is carving out a big name for herself on the Flyde coast of late, Milli Munro. What we have here is a cruise liner-style vocal chat-up merchant who handles her audience with a deft touch. Her smooth treatment of silky ballads such as You Might Need Somebody and the more powerful Whitney Houston belter One Moment in Time were a real pleasure to listen to.

Next to Elvis, Shirley Bassey must be one of the most common artists paid tribute to and here Milli Munro did a fine job. You cannot do much more than look the "You cannot do much more than look & sound the part, she was a dead ringer. - By Derek Smith
